Indian Witch Hunts

In the tribal belt, many witch hunts have been happening all around the riegons. Women suspected of being witchs are hunted down and attacked. Some are forced to eat human extract others have been beaten, tortured, and killed. This is a form of a witch hunt because if a person isnt acting a certain way or doesnt have a certain type of religion. They are classified as a witch and is tourtured and killed. A young boy was arrested because he be headed his aunt because he believed she was a witch. Some of the indians believe that you can gain these witch powers by performing dark, shadowy rituals. They believe witchs can hear voices, see shapes and forms, and talk with the devil.

*Concentration Camps*

There are many forms of witch hunts. For instances, Hitler putting jews in concentration camps is a form of a witch hunt. He went after a certain type of human race, such as the the Gypsies Soviets, particularly prisoners of war; Communists; ethnic Poles; other Slavic people; the disabled; homosexuals; and political and religious dissidents, he put them in concentration camps and abused, neglected, and killed them. If a person wasnt the "type" of race hitler agreed upon, they were sent away to suffer. I beileve this is a form of a witch hunt, because hitler targeted a certain type of race of people.

Witch Hunts

Witch hunts is a search for witches or evidence of witchcraft, but it could also mean a group of people getting together and going after others they dont agree with or seeking revenge from. Some call it a form of haressment. Witch hunts have been performed since midevil time all the way up to modern today. From the fifteenth to eighteenth centuries, many Europeans developed a phenomenon of witchcraft.The belief that women were sinful and had the power of the devil within them developed out of the Middle Ages. The government and society organized witchhunts, where many were accused, tourchered, and thousands executed. These hunts varied place to place and their main target was women. Finally the enlightenment brought and end to the hunts for threats that did not exist. There has been many theorys of why witch hunt and witchcrafts have been found. Some theories are: Greed, if founded for witchcraft or proscuted as a witch, they would have to give up land, so other could confiscate their land. Others believe it could be the famine theory, where a disaster had occured and people would blame supernatural forces.
