In the tribal belt, many witch hunts have been happening all around the riegons. Women suspected of being witchs are hunted down and attacked. Some are forced to eat human extract others have been beaten, tortured, and killed. This is a form of a witch hunt because if a person isnt acting a certain way or doesnt have a certain type of religion. They are classified as a witch and is tourtured and killed. A young boy was arrested because he be headed his aunt because he believed she was a witch. Some of the indians believe that you can gain these witch powers by performing dark, shadowy rituals. They believe witchs can hear voices, see shapes and forms, and talk with the devil.

That is really brutal, the things these people do to each other is horrible. This is definatly a pretty serious witch hunt. It's pretty bad when people would turn on their own family members for something like that. Just that they would believe in this type of thing is hard to believe.
This is another literal example of a witch hunt that is caused by fear and discrimination. People fear witches but they don't really have exact proof that they exsist...only suspisions. This type of hunt is absolutetly brutal and scary witch hunt.
OK...the beheading thing is kinda gross. I think that this is a good example of a witch hunt. People are killing other people because they THINK that they're witches. Something should be done in this area to stop the killing.
Totally agree with everyone so far. Just because they behead people because they think the people are doing some kind of witch practices. That ain't right but that is the same in all witch hunts. Just because they "think" of something.
It's so sad, isn't it? But guess that's they way it'll be. Yes, it's a witchhunt, literally. it's the way of the Indians I guess....maybe it's not right, but it's still their belief. Hopefully the witchhunts end soon, though! Too many people are dying for an unjust cause.
Actual "witch hunts" are the dumbest kind of witch hunts. How can people actually believe that there are actually witches and wizzards. Do they read to much Harry Potter or what? It's riduculous that people would just kill someone because they think that person made something go wrong in their life. It's just plain stupid.

The idead of a kid killing a family member over something as little as that is deffinately sadistic. I don't know why or how their can still be that kind of thinking in the world, but witch hunting like that isn't right.
This is terrible and brutal. I can, but yet I can't, believe this is happening all over the world. This is wrong, not sanctioned, and not believable. Especially in India, this is totally outrageous.
Wow, that is literally a witch hunt. how can they know for sure that these perople are witches? Someone might have just been mad at a person, and wanted them gone. So then they might have started a rumor that they were a witch, like in the Crucible, how the girls accused innocent people. Because no one really knows if those people are true witches or not.

While we suffered through these problems in the 1500s India is going through it now. Man we are ahead of the curve.
